The Westmorland Historical Society has established a notable costume collection of original pieces (over 3000 pieces) as well as reproductions for staff and special events. Sylvia Yeoman and Betty Adams, a long time volunteer and talented needle worker, traveled the province sharing their knowledge of costume design and production. In addition, fashion shows were very popular events in the 1960s to the 1990s – many with the original pieces until they were restricted to more controlled exhibits.
Many of these wonderful costume pieces were displayed in the Small Town Big Fashion Exhibit that celebrated the Keillor House’s 200 year anniversary in 2013.
Each year a limited number of the original pieces are selected for display.
