Keillor Hearth Cooking

Event Date: Saturday, July 2, 2022

Experience the magic of the hearth.

Prepare a stew in a cauldron over the open flame, cook biscuits in the wall oven and bake a pie in a Dutch oven over embers on the open hearth. All the way from starting the fire to eating the meal: experience the whole process.

This slow food adventure is suitable for ages 8 and up and is designed for groups of 2 to 8 people.

Advance reservations required. $35/person. Call 506-379-6633 to reserve your spot.

Hearth Cooking will take place on July 2, 2022 starting at 1:00pm.

Keillor House Museum Opening Ceremony

The Westmorland Historical Society is pleased to announce they will be holding their 56th annual museum opening ceremony on Saturday, June 11th at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
Date: Saturday 11th June 2022

Time: 1.00pm

Venue:  Keillor House Museum, 4974 Main Street, Dorchester, NB

Everyone is welcome.

Join us for a look at our exhibit exploring “Free and Accepted Masons”.
Our Curator will be on hand to discuss the exhibit and answer any questions about it.
A light reception will follow.
Both Keillor House Museum and St. James Textile Museum will be open for the season from 10:00am to 5:00pm daily between June 11 and September 3, 2022.
Reduced hourrs will be in effect from 3rd Sept until 25th Sept when we will open Wed – Sun between 10am and 5pm.

Westmorland Historical Society – Strategic Planning Meeting

Event Date: Monday, November 29, 2021

The Westmorland Historical Society will be hosting its Strategic Action Planning meeting on November 29th, 2021 at Lady Smith Manor in Dorchester from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.
The meeting will follow our normal board meeting which will also run at the Lady Smith Manor from 4:00-5:00 pm.
The Strategic Planning Meeting is open to directors, members and staff. However, due to Covid19 restrictions we had to limit attendees to 15 people to meet social distancing requirements and board members will be given priority.
All attendee’s must be doubly vaccinated, masked when not seated, and provide proof of vaccine with government issued ID at the door.
Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided.

Westmorland Historical Society – AGM & Dinner

The Westmorland Historical Society will be holding its Annual General Meeting and Dinner on Sunday June 12th at 4.30 pm – 7pm.  All society members are welcome to join.

Time: 4.30pm – 7pm (4.30pm – Meet and Greet, 5pm – 7pm – Dinner and AGM)
